A random decision maker for iPhone: using Fate Says
Choose between yes or no, spin a retro wheel or pick from two to ten options with Fate Says for iPhone and iPad.

When several everyday options are equally acceptable, a random picker can help you move on. Fate Says is a decision maker for iPhone and iPad with three ways to choose: an instant Yes or No answer, a retro Yes or No wheel, and a picker for your own options.
It suits questions such as what to cook, which game to play or which film to watch. The answer is random, so it does not compare the quality of your choices or work out what is best for you.
Which decision mode should you use?
Use Yes or No when you already have a single proposition, such as “Try the new café?” You can type a question, but the question is optional.
The retro wheel also chooses Yes or No, adding a visual spin to the interaction. For a shortlist of different possibilities, use Your Options: enter between two and ten choices and let the app select one.
How to make a useful shortlist
Decide which options you are comfortable with before asking the picker. For a lunch choice, for example, list only places that are open, within your budget and suitable for everyone involved. Then let the app break the tie.
This separates the useful work of setting constraints from the small decision of choosing among acceptable options. If one result makes you realise you prefer something else, you can simply make your own choice. The app’s answer is a prompt, not a commitment.
Shortcuts, widgets and decision history
The App Store listing includes a Home Screen widget, Siri and Shortcuts support, plus sound and haptic feedback. These offer different ways to reach the app, although the listing does not describe every supported Shortcut action.
Fate Says Pro adds unlimited decision history. The listed purchase options are a weekly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime Pro purchase. Check regional prices and terms before choosing an upgrade.
Questions before downloading
Can I enter my own choices?
Yes. The custom picker accepts two to ten options. It is separate from the Yes or No modes.
Does Fate Says give advice based on my question?
No. The listing describes random answers and selections. Use it for low-stakes everyday choices; decisions that need evidence or professional judgment need more than a random result.

No account is required. According to the listing, your questions and choices stay on your device.
Is it available on iPad?
Yes. The current listing supports iPhone and iPad, requires iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later and lists 24 languages. It is free to download with optional Pro purchases. See the app page for the full language list.
