ShapeStep
Make your daily movement visible.
An iPhone step counter and walking motivation app that turns Apple Health steps and distance into goals, graphs, and a changing visual contour.
Follow a daily step goal
Start in Preview mode to explore the app, then connect Apple Health when you want to see your own activity. ShapeStep requests read access to Steps and Walking + Running Distance. Choose the starting goal of 7,000 steps or set a target that fits your routine, then check today's steps, distance, goal percentage and remaining steps.
Read the guide to tracking a daily step goal on iPhone for an example routine.
See your movement over time
The seven-day graph puts today's total beside recent activity, including your average daily steps and yesterday's total. The movement contour changes with activity, with weekly snapshots and longer-term trends to revisit. It is an illustration of movement progress, rather than a measurement of body shape, weight or health.
Control your Health access
Apple Health is optional for Preview mode; live movement data and progress updates need Health access. You can review or change that access in Apple Health or iPhone Settings. No account is required, and movement and contour information stays on your device. ShapeStep is free to download.
